Tara Lumpkin has studied tarot and given readings since her late teens. Her belief is that the client holds the probable future in his or her own body and psyche and that the card layout provides a mandala that allows both Tara and the client to work together to interpret the probable future.

Tara studied divination in Namibia, Africa, when she worked there with traditional healers for a year under the auspices of Unicef and the Namibian Ministry of Health. She also wrote her dissertation in the field of medical anthropology about the value of what she calls "perceptual diversity."

Her belief is that knowledge is accessed through many different modes of consciousness and that some knowledge is only available subliminally. Through tarot readings Tara believes that she and her clients can access this knowledge.
