“Sangoma" is a lovely Taos-based home located on the
north side of town half a mile from the gentrified town of Arroyo
Seco, which has shops and restaurants. The house is 15 minutes
from Taos Ski Valley and 15 minutes to the town of Taos. (A “sangoma”
is a southern African healer, and this house is a special healing
place.) |

| This is an adobe home with INCREDIBLE views,
privacy, and gardens. A true writer's retreat or spiritual sanctuary
and a good fit for the skier looking for perfection. Sangoma is
located on 2.3 acres of irrigated alfalfa fields. The sweeping view
overlooks a celebrity’s 30-acre horse pasture up to Taos Mountain.
Coyotes, red-tail hawks, and the occasional eagle can be seen and
heard. The house was recently remodeled and is perfect for quiet
reflection and creative work. Living in Taos is about becoming one
with the big sky and the rhythms of nature. Why rush? Enjoy the half mile walk into Seco for a latte and egg sando at the Taos Cow, a breakfast burrito at Abe’s Place, or a Cubano sandwich at the Maverick Café, then pick up a few groceries at Sol Food, the local health food store. For dinner try Sabroso’s delicious bar food, often accompanied by piano music, or its gourmet restaurant. Go a little farther down the road towards the town of Taos to The Old Blinking Light for great Mexican food and burgers or to Pizzanos for Italian food and pizza. There is no better location or house! |

| The house has a small living room, large dining
room, medium-size kitchen, an office, and a large brick patio with
portale (protective overhang) with a gas grill. The living room
has two couches and a kiva fireplace. Furnishings are Santa Fe chic.
Much of the art work was collected in my overseas work as an anthropologist. |

| The house has 3 bedrooms and 3
bathrooms. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed, kiva fireplace,
and a large bathroom with a bathtub/shower that has fantastic views.
The second bedroom is of a medium size, has a queen-size bed, and
has a bathroom with a shower. A third bedroom has a full bed and
a bathroom with a bathtub/shower combo right across the hall. |

| There is a big-screen HDTV with DishNetwork
in the living room and also a stereo system, which can be heard
in the dining room. High speed wireless internet access is available
throughout the house. There is no garage and 4-wheel drive is advisable Dec, Jan, Feb, and March. The main road is only 1/10 of a mile away down the driveway--seclusion and privacy without being far from amenities. Rent price depends upon length of stay and number of people staying. |
